For over thirty years, Phil Ponder has painted historic structures in Middle Tennessee. His Unique style is accomplished through a combination of pen and ink/watercolor techniques, emphasizing great detail and warmth of color. Lithographs are produced from his original watercolors and are available through Picture This. Also, thanks to our close working relationship with Mr. Ponder, we offer personalized messages written directly on either the print, mat or back by Mr. Ponder himself. Only Picture This can offer this unique service, and at no additional charge. Picture This is the only gallery that carries original pieces by Mr. Ponder regularly.

DECOR Magazine, an international trade publication serving the art and custom picture framing industry, recently named Picture This Custom Framing & Gallery of Hermitage Tennessee as one of 10 winners of the magazine's nationwide Top 100 Art & Framing Retailers Award. This is the 5th year that Picture This has received this honor. In 2006 Picture This was awarded the "Technology Integration" award and this year has been awarded "Best Art Events" hosted by custom framing retailers.
Now in its sixth year, the annual awards program is designed to honor general business excellence and outstanding customer service among the United States' best art-and-framing retailers. Entries are judged by a panel of industry experts and small business administrators at the magazine's headquarters in St. Louis.
Award winners' stores will be highlighted in the September issue of DECOR. The profiles offer readers the opportunity to learn about the winners' successful business strategies and innovative initiatives to make art and framing accessible to consumers.
Founded in 1880, DECOR magazine circulates monthly to 24,000 art gallery, custom frame shops and designers primarily across the United States.

Portrait Photography – Donald Duane Chambers
The remodel is finished and Duane is getting ready for the grand opening of his new Portrait Photography Studio. Duane will be our featured artist at our next “Third Thursday” event, March 18, 2010 5pm-8pm andhe will be showing off his new studio.

Giclee Printing

A giclee’ (zhee-CLAY) is an individually produced, High-resolution reproduction of artwork printed on a special large format printer. Giclee’s are produced from digital scans of existing artwork.
Picture This will be happy to scan and color correct your artwork for $50.00 per image. We have an experienced color technician on staff who produces outstanding prints, following your instructions as closely as possible by sizing, cropping and color adjusting each image individually. Price includes scanning, printing of a proof and burning the image to a disc.
Wet oils and acrylics, unfixed pastels and other unusually delicate art will be handled very carefully. The maximum size artwork we scan is 24×30.
Important: canvases must be brought in for scanning before the are varnished. Varnished artwork can sometimes conflict with our scanner.
