PC - Buchanan Log Home 7x5 print

The Buchanan Log House is located at 2910 Elm Hill Pike. The structure was built in 1807-1809 by James Buchanan who was one of the early settlers in Davidson County. In 1810 he married Lucinda East and by 1820 a log addition to the home was necessitated to accommodate their growing family which eventually numbered 16 children. Another addition to the house occurred in 1900.
