Union Station (SOLD OUT PRINT) framed SOLD

Product Description

Print number 181/600, SOLD OUT in 1982 - framed in a 25"x28" black distressed frame, 3 acid free mats, acid free backing and conservation glass.

Union Station, truely one of Nashville's most readily recognized landmarks, is depicted as it appeared in 1979 just prior to a major and long over-due renovation program. This imposing structure, the region's most famous example of Romanesque architecture, was completed in 1900 during the period when railroads unquestionably provided "the best" means of public transportation. It is located on Broadway in the central area of Tennessee's capitol city.

In recent years the station activities have diminished and the stately old ediface has fallen into general disrepair. Howvever, the future holds great excitement and expectations for Union Station. This is assured because of the facelifting projects, new and varied utilization of the beautiful internal spaces and extensive building developments planned in the immedicate vicinity.

This is one Nashville "friend" that deserves - and will have - a new day of grandeur.
