Product Description

"NASHVILLE TEN" is the tenth in a series of large horizontal images of Nashville's skyline. The first one lithographed in 1982...35 years ago...was limited to the downtown structures making up the core of the city. Due to the extensive growth of the metropolis, the tenth edition is much more expansive in scope.

Prior to defining the best prospective of a greater panoramic view of Nashville, there were two scouting trips by car and helicopter for research purposes. Analysis of all photographs taken on the trips indicated the best image was looking north toward the Cumberland River.

At the extreme left of the print is the new headquarters of HCA and a cluster of recently completed buildings in the gulch area beside the city's historic railroad track system.

The middle area illustrates new hotels...Westin and JW Marriott...next to the Music City Center. The imposing 505 tower on Church Street gives upward dynamics to the skyline. It is surrounded by older downtown favorites...L&C tower, One Nashville Place, AT&T building, etc...that remain important elements of center city.

To the right is a concentration of buildings in the SoBro area...with Omni Hotel, Bridgestone Building and Pinnacle Tower being especially noteworthy.

In the background is Nissan Stadium and the hills of Davidson County that stretch beyond the Cumberland.
