One of four YMCA/YWCA's in 1918 was located where our current Community Center now stands. You will pass by the locations of the others later in the tour. The current Community Center was built in 1967 and will undergo extensive renovation in 2018. The "Y" building constructed in the powder plant era served various recreational needs of the community and DuPont’s employees for over 40 years. The club included a gym, bowling alley, billiards room, soda fountain and barber shop.
